1. This is what we started with.The photograph shows the first floor living accommodation at the front of the property, with a garage and unheated storage area in the basement. This area proved to be difficult to access. At the rear of the property the living accommodation was on the ground floor. With house prices at a premium in this area of Nottingham, we wanted to maximise all the available space.
2. Work started, staircase removed and internal walls demolished. You can see from the photographs how dated the existing building was.
3. The shape of the new dwelling starting to appear in this image with the front extension being added and the new windows being installed.
4. On this photograph we can see the wonderful double height that is being created.
5. The garden area was just as important to the design as the house. We wanted to create an outdoor room that could be used throughout the summer months and which also provided an enjoyable outlook from the house in the winter. We added many feature outdoor lights to this area.
6. Here we can see the boundary wall being built.
